When I think of romantic Southern weddings, this is what they look like in my mind! Kristen and Scott lived the dream and it was amazing! Every inch of this wedding was beautiful. Gorgeous!

The best words to describe Danielle and David’s wedding day are pure joy and true love. Some couples are just magic and they are one of those couples. Danielle is a nurse and David is a doctor. They love the same things and are crazy for each other, as evidenced by their first kiss at their ceremony. David didn’t hold back! The day began at the Chapel Hill Country Club with getting ready photos with the girls. Master makeup artist and hair stylist, Denise Hutter with Images by Denise, did all of the hair and makeup for all of the bride’s maids and the beautiful bride. Then we were off to the Christ United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill for a sweet and touching ceremony. The party started out right with the bridal party and the bride and groom all dancing into the reception as they were announced. The couple danced their first dance and half way through they broke out into a salsa! My kind of party! They danced all night and it was a fantastic evening. Danielle and David ran through their sparkler send off and dashed away to an Italian honeymoon. Perfection!

Michelle and Brian’s wedding was so absolutely gorgeous, I have a lot of photos to share! The day started with getting ready photos at one of my most favorite locations, The City Club at de Rosset. The morning light was so beautiful and it was the perfect setting for Michelle and her bridesmaids. Michelle and Brian had an early mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, so we had the afternoon to take photos before their evening cocktail hour and reception began at The Balcony on Dock. It was a lovely wedding in every way and it was such a pleasure to be a part of Michelle and Brian’s special day!

The flower girl carried a bird cage filled with hydrangeas. What an adorable idea!

I love the moment when Dad sees his daughter as a bride for the first time. It is always a teary experience.

Michelle had so many thoughtful details that she incorporated into her wedding and one of the most sentimental was her mother’s veil. It was the perfect ‘final touch’.

Michelle and Brian had this amazing car brought in from Charlotte for their wedding day. The 1962 White Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud from Royal Rides was certainly dreamy and we did several photo shoots that day just centered around the car. The car company even made a custom license plate with the couple’s new last name that they get to keep!

Incredible flowers by Fiore Fine Flowers!

Charyl and Heather from Social Butterfly Events brought all of the details together for an incredible party!

Guests wrote their well wishes on little bird cards that were hung on a spanish moss covered branch. Very cute!

Charming and lovely are the words I would use to describe the wedding of Brennan and Mike that took place at one of my favorite venues, The City Club de Rosset. Brennan and Mike joined their two families together with a sweet ceremony in the beautiful parlor. The elegant dining area was set for their intimate gathering of 16 people with gorgeous flowers, crystal flutes and mercury glass candelabras. The Three Divas really outdid themselves this time with the beautiful arrangements, decor and cake! Perfection!!

I have photographed lots of beautiful beach weddings over the years, and the weather can often be an uncontrollable factor. Sometimes, you just time it right and luck was on Vicky and Scott’s side this time. Wrightsville Beach was a paradise on this fall day and you could have almost sworn you were in the Bahamas! Beachside Occasions put together an amazing ceremony site that was the perfect setting to view the incredible sunset that evening as Vicky and Scott exchanged vows. They had a beautiful party with close friends and family at Lumina Hall with lots of white flowers and candlelight.

Jordan and John celebrated their wedding day with a beautiful mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church performed by everyone’s favorite priest, Father Bob! He always adds a bit of humor to every wedding that makes the service very memorable. I always look forward to photographing the amazing interior of St. Mary’s with the gigantic arched ceilings. The couple left the church with a bubble farewell and then we took photos all over downtown Wilmington before they partied the night away at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside Hotel.

One of my favorite photos of the year! The little ring bearer checking to see if the bride is coming!

I am so excited to share the beautiful wedding of Terri and Travis! They picked the most perfect day to have an outdoor wedding at Greenfield Lake. Then they danced the night away at The River Room on the waterfront in downtown Wilmington. It was an awesome wedding, and it was great being their photographer!

Little Emma Louise posed like a star for her 18 month old portraits on Wrightsville Beach this fall. She looked darling in her cute white dress! It was a beautiful evening at the beach and it made for the perfect setting for her photos.

One of the best things about being a wedding photographer is seeing the beginning of a couple’s life together with engagement photos, then capturing the moments of their ‘big day’ as they become husband and wife. And, then if I’m really lucky, I am able to witness the next steps as they begin a family together. I photographed the wedding of Stephanie and Shaun in 2007, and now they are almost ready to welcome a new baby girl into their family. Stephanie is just 1 week away from her due date now, so I will be busy taking new born baby photos very soon!

Crystal and Brett were married at the Grace United Methodist Church and then celebrated with lots and lots of family and friends at the beautiful new Wilmington Convention Center on the water front in downtown Wilmington. It was a fantastic wedding with lots beautiful details, fun dancing and even a photo booth for guests to dress up and get a little crazy. Take a look at some of the gorgeous images we created!

Lynn and Paxton had a beautiful ceremony overlooking Wrightsville Beach on the Oceanic Pier and a lovely afternoon reception at Blue Water Grille. The wedding was a destination wedding for the couple and their guests enjoyed a mini summer vacation while staying on the beach for a few days. We even did a post wedding shoot while they were here for the weekend, to take additional photos on the beach during the perfect sunset light.

I am so happy to share the beautiful wedding of my lovely couple, Ksenia and Errol. Their summer wedding took place at the Hall & Gardens at Landmark in Garner. The location reminded me of a fairytale palace and Ksenia was truly a princess bride! The gardens were a beautiful setting for their touching ceremony and we all braved the August heat to take their photos. The location provided endless photo opportunities and we had fun taking some dramatic photos that evening set against the water fountain and the cool rod iron gates.

My favorite moment of the evening was the beautiful choreographed dance that Ksenia and Errol performed for their first dance. They danced to a Russian love song, The Waltz by Doga. It was perfection!

Excited to share my beautiful bride, Crystal’s bridal portraits now that she is married! We spent the afternoon at a variety of locations in downtown Wilmington and ended our shoot on Wrightsville Beach. I am so lucky to have such great brides to work with! Crystal loved modeling her wedding dress and we had a great time taking photos.
